Salmbräu is deeply rooted in Vienna’s history. Originally part of a monastery founded in 1717 by Empress Wilhelmine Amalia, it boasts a rich past. Following the death of her husband and the plague, the Empress dedicated herself to creating a place that offered education for young women and brought religious renewal to Vienna.
Today, Salmbräu blends historical tradition with modern brewing craftsmanship and regional cuisine. Our handcrafted beers and dishes made from the finest Austrian ingredients make every visit an authentic Viennese experience.
